ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft でマルチディスプレイというかデュアルディスプレイ

　Windows : Linux の私の自宅での利用比率を大きく変化させたubuntuでありましたが...
　Windowsで３画面のマルチディスプレイを使用していたので１画面だけのubuntuが窮屈でどちらも使える場合はWindowsを使って作業することが多い状況です。
　そこで、Linux は簡単にマルチディスプレイできないのかと調べたところ、比較的簡単に出来たのでメモ！
　参考にさせてもらったリソースは、

マシン構成は、

  • ビデオカード：NVIDIA Quadro NVS 280 AGP 数年前３０００円位で購入。
  • モニター ：LG L1715SQ　昨年２万円強で２台購入。
  • 本体 ：Pentium4 2.4GHz 1.5GBメモリ のショップブランドPC。

です。(ビデオカードやモニタの価格の安さに感謝！)

設定後の /etc/X11/xorg.conf はこんな感じです。
でも、Berylが使えなくなった！この件は次に時間があるときに...
